Tori sabzi

this is my nani's recipe and i like tori in this way only.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 kg tori (peeled and cut into pieces)
    • 1 tsp jeera
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 2tsp green chilli chopped
    • a pinch of hing
    • salt to taste
    • 1/4 tsp dhaniya powder
    • 1/4 tsp sauf powder
    • 1 tsp lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp ghee


    1. wash tori pieces and pressure cook them with salt and turmric powder.don't add much water as tori have lot of water
    2. heat ghee in a pan and add hing, jeera, green chilli ,dhaniya and saunf powder.
    3. add boiled tori and cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
    4. mix lemon juice.
    5. serve with roti or paratha.

    Hi Swati, I was thinking of making your recipe, but was not exactly sure if by "Tori" you meant Chori or Turia? It is really very hard to figure it out from the picture. Can you please clear my confusion? Thanks!
