Bhona gosht

Recipe by rabz of Dhaka, BD

This recipe was given to me by an aunt who lives in Dubai & since then it has been a favouriti in our house.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1/2 kg boneless meat cut into thin strips.
    • 1 cup yoghurt
    • 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste.
    • 1 fried onion till golden (crushed)
    • 1 tsp cinnamon & cardamom powder.
    • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder.
    • 2 tbsp black pepper powder
    • 3 tbsp ghee
    • 2 cup hot water
    For decorating:
    • French fries
    • ketchup
    • 1 onion cut into thin circles.

    Directions

    1. In a bowl combine all the meat ingredients together & marinade over night.
    2. Next morning Put the marinated meat in a non stick pan & pour hot water over it.
    3. Bring to the boil, lower the heat & cook until meat is very tender.
    4. Keep frying the meat until all the water evaporates & the meat is dry but has some grave on it.
    5. Remove from heat, decorate with French fries, ketchup & onions.
    6. Serve with hot naans or rice.

    ASAK Salma, Yes it is ment to be Desi but it is more or less like Kebabs with very lil gravy coating the meat so it does go very nicely with FF & ketchup but that also is only to make it look nice & it goes well with chutneys too so u can have it the way it pleases u.TC.Cheers.

    salaam rabz, hmmm very nice recipe i m going to cook it on this sunday but it is very desi type of recipe so will it be ok with ketchup and french fries? Can we have it with tamarind chutney or min raita? thx and tc
