Ejjah (Quiche)

Ejjah made by the Arabs does not have a base to it but the ones made by Europeans has a base made out of flour, butter , water & salt.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 8 eggs
    • 1/4 cup cream or full fat milk 
    • 1/2 mozzarella cheese 
    • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 shredded potatoes
    • 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms 
    • 1 onion chopped into very small cubes
    • 1/2 chopped parsley
    • 1/2 bell pepper chopped
    • salt to ur taste
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    * if u don't like the taste of parsley then add coriander  & 2 green chilli instead of bell pepper.

    Directions

    1. In a bowl, Beat the eggs with a hand blender until nice & fluffy.
    2. Pour in the cream & beat for another 5 min.
    3. Add all the remaining ingredients & beat for 1 min.
    4. Pour the mixture in an oven safe round dish & bake in 180c oven until set & golden from the top.
    5. Remove from oven & allow it to cool.
    6. Cut out in triangles & serve with a spoon of sour cream.

    WASW Afshan, I would say approx 30-45 min not more. If u r using less eggs then it should be cooked 4 lesser time so plz keep tat in mind.Hope tat helped.
