Shrimps Bharta

This is best made with sweet water shrimps as sea shrimps get a bit rubbery if cooked 4 too long.And remember to mix it right before serving.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 7-8  cleaned shrimps.
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 2 tbsp finely chopped green chili.
    • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
    • 1 onion very thinly chopped.
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice.
    • 1 tsp shredded lime rind.
    • salt  (adjust to your taste)
    • 2 tbsp mustard oil


    1. In a frying pan heat oil & fry the shrimps , tossing till shrimps change colour.
    2. Remove from heat & make it into small pieces.
    3. Put this in a bowl combine with green chili, coriander,onions, juice, rind,salt & mustard oil & mix with hands to make a chunky bharta.
    4. Bring out in a plate & Serve with boiled rice .
