Mung dal with veggies

try this dal. i'm sure u r kids will love it. my daughter loves it.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 2 cups of yellow mung dal
    • 1 1/2 cups of mixed veggies (cabbage, bottle gourd, green peas)
    • 2 tomatoes(chopped)
    • 1 onion(chopped)
    • 1 tbsp green chilli, chopped
    • 1 tbsp garlic paste
    • 1 tsp ginger paste
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 4 tbsp desi ghee


    1. soak mung dal for 1 hr.
    2. heat ghee in a pan. add cumin seeeds, green chilli, onion. cook them for few minutes
    3. now add veggies and saute them for few minutes again. now add tomatoes and mung dal.
    4. add enough water to dal. add salt and cook till tender.
    5. garnish with coriander before serving serve hot.
