Banana and date bread

This is a healthy recipe for those on a diet yet they want to enjoy their life with sweetness.

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
    • 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder.
    • 1/4 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup oats.
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tsp lemon zest
    • 1/4 c honey
    • 1 cup warm milk
    • 4 small ripe bananas
    • 1/4 chopped soft dates.
    • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts(opt)

    Directions

    1. Combine the dry ingredients together  in a bowl.
    2. Mix in all the other ingredients and make into a semi thick batter.
    3. Don't over mix the batter approx 2-3 min.
    4. Oil a  bread tin and pour the batter.
    5. Bake in a 350 deg  oven for 45-50 min or until when you fork when inserted comes out clean. 
    6. Remove from heat and serve warn with tea or coffee *(if your not on a diet spread some butter to give a nicer taste and fragrance).

    Sorry 2 tbsp oil must be add in the batter.
