Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings


    • 1/2 kg besan
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp kasoori methi
    • a pinch of soda
    • oil for frying

    Directions

    1. sieve the besan,  soda and add salt and methi to it.
    2. add enough oil to the besan that it start forming round balls.
    3. knead a tight dough and keep aside for 1/2 hr. cover it with wet cloth.
    4. heat oil in a kadai .
    5. with the help of gathiya maker, drop gathiyas in a heated oil.
    6. fry till golden crisp.
    7. drain excess oil .
    8. when cool down ,store them in a airtight jar.
    9. enjoy them with a cup of tea.
