Drumsticks in Kadhi

drumsticks and boiled potato in thick kadhi

drumsticks are very good for health,can be made without potatoes

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 3 drumsticks peeled, cut into 2inch long pieces 
    • 2 potatoes boiled,peeled and diced
    • 11/2 cup sour curd
    • 1/2cup gram flour 
    • 1 tb.sp. oil
    • 1 t.sp. mustard seeds
    • 1/4 t.sp. asafoetida
    • 1 whole red chilly
    • 1 t.sp. garlic paste
    • 2 t.sp. red chilly pwd
    • 1/2 t.sp. turmeric pwd
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Boil drumsticks in water adding salt 
    2. Mix curd and gram flour.No lumps should form.
    3. Add red chill pwd + turmeric pwd + little salt + garlic paste
    4. Heat oil in a non stick kadai.Add mustard seeds  + whole red chilly + asafoetida
    5. Add curd and 1/2 cup water (use the water in which drumsticks were boiled)
    6. After a boil add drumsticks and potatoes.
    7. Cook for 5min.
    8. Serve hot with plain roti or paratha
