Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup urad dal
    • 2 1/2 cup rice
    • 1 beetroom
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar

    Directions

    1. Soak urad dal and Rice for for atleast 4 hours in water
    2. Grind it and make a batter of it, add salt to taste and half spoon sugar (sugar will help in fermentation)
    3. Next morning at the time of preparing idli, Grind beetroot prepare puriee of it and add it to idly batter  
    4. Prepare Idli
    5. Serve with coconut chutney,,,,, hmmm yummyyyy
