Tofu in tomato cream sauce

Tofu cooked in a tomato creamy sauce. Tofu can substituted with chicken tikka or even paneer!

Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings


    • one inch cubed tofu - 20 peices
    • I can small hunt's tomato sauce
    • I small whipping cream carton
    • 8 flakes of garlic
    • half teaspoon of ginger
    • pinch of red paprika powder
    • 1/4 spoon turmeric powder
    • 1/4 spoon salt and if needed more
    • kasoori methi crushed - a pinch
    • 1/4 spoon garam masala
    • one tablespoon oil

    Directions

    1. heat oil in a pan.
    2. crush the ginger and garlic to make a paste and fry in oil till done.
    3. add the tomato sauce from the can.
    4. after ten minutes, pour in the carton of whipping cream.
    5. put in the turmeric, paprika and salt to the paster and stir.
    6. Bring the sauce to a boil gently stirring.
    7. Next add the tofu peices and simmer.
    8. On the palm of your hand gring the kasoori methi and add it to the sauce.
    9. Next add garam masala and stir.

    Instead of tofu you can add fresh cottage cheese(paneer) or even chicken peices that have been cooked.
