Balti Chilli Chicken

Hot & spicy would be a fitting description for this mouth-watering Balti dish. The aroma from the fresh chillies cooking is indescribable.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    675gms-boneless chicken,cut in cubes. 8-large fresh green chillies,slit 1/2 - tsp onionseed and cumin seed, each. 1-tsp gingerand garlic paste, each. 1tsp-chilli pd,corriander pd, salt,each. 4-5 curry leaves 5-tbsp oil 2-onions, medium size, chopped 1-tbsp lemon juice 5-6 small cherry size tomatoes (whole). few-corriander(Kothmir)leaves and fresh mint(pudina)leaves, chopped.


    1. Heat oil in a deep karai(skillet). Lower heat and add the slit green chillies, fry till it changes colour.
    2. Add the chopped onions, cumin seeds,onion seeds,curryleaves,ginger-garlic pastes,chilli pd,corriander pd,salt. fry all this nicely for few min.
    3. Add the chicken pieces and fry for 7-8 min,stir and cook till chicken done.Add the small cherry tomatoes whole.
    4. Sprinkle the lemon juice and add the mint(pudina)leaves and corriander(kothmir)leaves.
    5. Serve hot with Naan or Paratha.
