Aaloo palak baaji

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 3 Medium potatoes
    • 1 bunch spinach
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1/2 tsp urad dal
    • 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
    • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
    • 1/4 tsp termeric
    • curry leaves
    • salt
    • 5 tsp oil


    1. Boil potatoes and peel the skin.cut them into 1/4inch cubes.
    2. In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds,urad dal and curry leaves.
    3. Add palak leaves which are chopped finely.close the lid and cook on low heat.
    4. When palak is reduced to a small size add potatoes,chilli powder,termeric,coriander powder and salt.
    5. cook for about 4-5min and serve.
    6. This dish goes very well with nans, rotis and rice.
