Macher Chop

Fish Chops

Cooking time: 20-30 minutes

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

  • 500 gms. Fish, large pomfret,Rohu,Katla
  • 2 nos. Potato, large boiled
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Raisins
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 nos. Egg, for batter
  • 3 nos. Green Chilies
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 2 nos. Onion, chopped and fried
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • bunch Bread Crumbs

Directions

  1. Boil the fish in salted water.
  2. Remove both Potatoes and fish from the water and take a deep bowl and mix the two.
  3. Add chopped corriander, chopped green chillies, raisins, salt, pepper, a spoon of vinegar and fried oinons, and a pinch of turmeric.
  4. You may break an egg.
  5. Form flat rounded shapes. Dip in raw egg and pat with breadcrumbs.Deep fry.
  6. Serve with pulao or fried rice.
