Chicken Korma

Ingredients non vegetarian 10 servings

  • 2 kgs Chicken, pieces
  • ½ kg Yoghurt, sour
  • 100 gms. Coconut, dessicated
  • 1 kg Onion
  • 2 tsps. All spice powder
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper, powder
  • 5 tbsps. Garlic, paste
  • 5 tbsps. Ginger, paste
  • 5 nos. Green Chilies
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsps. Coriander powder
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 10 leaves Cilantro
  • 5 leaves Mint
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces for 10 minutes in 2 tsp of salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder and ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Chop the onions into fine slices and fry them till golden brown.
  3. Put the marinated chicken pieces when the onion is fried. After 10 minutes add the whipped yoghurt and a cup of water and stir well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Now add dessicated coconut, pepper powder, chopped coriander and mint leaves.
  5. Cover and allow it to cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
