Kashmiri Dum Aaloo

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 6 small sized Potatoes
    • 2 tsp Kashmiri powdered chilli
    • 2 tsp Kashmiri Garam masala
    • 2 tsp Saunf (powdered)
    • salt to taste


    1. Boil potatoes in pressure cooker till soft. Remove the skin and make small holes across the potatoes with the help of tooth pick.
    2. Take a pan and put vegetable oil in that and fry all the potatoes till brown. Keep the pan at simmer.
    3. Then take a different pan or kadai which is quite deep and put the remaining oil from your older pan and put mirch, sauf, garam masala and salt. It will be like a paste.
    4. Add all fried Potatoes. Stir Slowly for 1-2 min.
    5. Add water and boil till the masala gets into the Potatoes.
    6. Serve with Basmati rice.



    This recipe is so good and actually one of my kashmiri friend makes the same kind of. It's awesome and you should try it!
