Murghin kaju

it tastes best when had with pizza breads(roasted)

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

    • 800 g chicken
    • 35 nos of kaju
    • 12 kashmiri chillies
    • 2 medium sized onions,
    • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 tsp coriander & jeera powder
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • oil
    • coriander leaves for garnish,
    • charcoal,
    • little ghee.


    1. wash the chicken & apply salt & ginger garlic paste to it & marinate it for about 1/2 an hr.
    2. Meanwhile soak kaju & kashmiri chilies in hot water for abt 15 min & then grind them in a fine paste.
    3. Take oil in a pan add onions to it fry it till translucent. add the kaju paste & fry till it leaves oil. then add the marinated chicken, stir it till the chicken is completely coated with the paste add coriander pwd stir it well.
    4. cook till the chicken is done. add some water if needed.
    5. once the chicken becomes tender add tomato puree & sugar simmer it for a few mins.
    6. .in a small bowl take a little ghee. to it add extremely hot charcoal & place this bowl on the chicken gravy. donot allow the smoke to escape. cover it .
    7. garnish it with coriander & serve it hot with roasted pizza breads.
