Sweet dish made with channa dal

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    2 cups of Bengal Gram (Chana dal) 1 cup Jaggery 3/4 cup dry coconut powder 6 Cardamoms A pinch of Kesar 2 tsp Fried Poppy seeds 1 cup of Cashew, Raisins and Almonds 2 tbsp. Ghee


    1. Cook channa dal in cooker. Everyone's cooker is different so ensure that that it does not turn into a paste
    2. Add jaggery to dal. Keep mixing until jaggery is fully dessolved.
    3. Add dry coconut powder and ground poppy seeds.
    4. Fry for 5 minutes on a low flame.
    5. Add kesar, cashew, raisins and almonds.
    6. Finally add ghee.
    7. Top it with silver foil and serve.
