rawa makes the puri crispy and adds taste..After kneading the dough,roll it and fry immediately Prepare within 15 min-20 min.it will become brown otherwise

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 3/4cups Wheat flour
    • 1 tbsp siroti rawa(Barik Rawa)
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • Oil for frying

     

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl,Mix the flour,rawa,salt & knead well by adding req.water.Don't knead loose like roti.Slightly stiff but smooth dough.
    2. Take tennis ball sized dough,dust with flour & spread it to the size of a big round plate of 13'' with the rolling pin.
    3. Then press it with any sharp edged round lid of 3".will get  5 round shapes in 1 ball.
    4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.After its heated,dip the puri into it and press it with a long spoon with holes in it  for a second.
    5. Keep on medium flame.Puri puffs out immediately &  becomes golden colour.Turn it to other side and remove when it becomes golden light brown.
    6. Spread it in the paper towel & drain the excess oil.
    7. Serve hot with masal or with srikand.
