Bread & Tomato salad

Simple Salad made with bread & tomato served in Italian resturant...i liked it..hope u'll too.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 4 Ripe Tomatoes (seeds removed)
    • 3 slices of Bread (toasted)
    • 1 Red Onion (finely chopped)
    • 4 tblsp Olive Oil
    • 2-3 tblsp Vinegar
    • 15 leaves Fresh Basil leaves (hand torn)
    • Salt & Pepper powder to taste.

    Directions

    1. Dice the tomatoes into 1/4 inch pieces.
    2. Remove the edge of the bread on all 4 sides & cut them into 1/2 inch cubes. Toast them till golden brown in colour.
    3. Take a large serving bowl & toss in Tomatoes, bread, basil leaves & Onion. Mix well.
    4. Add in Olive oil & Vinegar. Toss everythg well.
    5. Add Salt & pepper powder according to your taste.
    6. Let it sit for 8-10 mins before serving. Top with Fresh basil leaves & serve.

    NOTE: Bread pieces can also be deeply fried but toasting is better for health reasons.
