As far as my memory goes, a close kashmiri friend of mine who also happened to be my next door neighbour during my stay in India, never used any kind of tea leaves in Kashmiri kehwa that always tasted awesome. But, I am also aware of the instances where some kashmiris prefer the usage of green tea leaves along with the other ingredients mentioned by Miss Farah. Much regards, shweta.

may be but all my life i have prepared kehwa with green kehwa leaves and never used grated ginger.

tea leaves are optional and hence not mentioned in the ingredients.tea leaves can be added but when you pour the kehwa into the cups you will have to sift the mixture before drinking.you will obviously not like to miss the spices in whole form.
Hi farha but where is green tea leaves mentioned in your reciepe of kehwa??

This recipe is incomplete as you need kashmiri kehwa leavs as well.
Thanks for the recipe, dear Farah. Infact, it's since long time I was looking for the list of exact ingredients needed to prepare the same.
