Khandoli

Tasty & Uncommon Recipe!

One of the best recipe amongst my mummy's recipe,its really uncommon & secret recipe of her which i am sharing with all of u. she makes it Awesome!!

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cup chana daal
    • 2 big chopped onions
    • 1 tsp garlic paste
    • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
    • 4 tsp oil
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 2 tsp red chilly powder
    • 3 tsp garam masala
    • 1/2 cup cashew powder
    • 1/2 cup peanut powder
    • 1 cup coconut powder
    • 2 cup wheat flour
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds

    Directions

    1. Soak chana daal overnight.Drain water & coarsely blend it from blender & keep aside.
    2. Heat a thick based pan with oil. add cumin & mustard seeds & let it splutter.now add garlic paste & then add onion & let it brown.
    3. Then add salt, turmeric, chilly powder & half of coriander leaves.
    4. Now add peanut powder, later on cashew powder & finally add coconut powder & mix them well & allow to cook it for 3-5min.
    5. Finally add ground daal  & mix it well & let it cool for 10 min. keep stirring it.
    6. Before removing from fire sprinkle garam masala, mix it & add remaining coriander leaves & then remove it. let it cool.
    7. Meanwhile make a dough of flour by adding pinch of salt & 1 tsp turmeric.
    8. Divide dough in to small pieces.
    9. Roll pieces in a oval shape, spread spoonful mixture  on it & make a roll of it by tightly rolling it.
    10. Do same for all pieces. Grease a pressure cooker pot with oil & place few of roll(khandoli) in it.
    11. Heat pressure cooker with water, place a pot in it , cover it with lid & cooked it for 10 min.
    12. Do same for all remaining rolls.
    13. Now heat a pan with 1 tsp oil, add cumin &  mustard seeds in it. once crackle add few of rolls & fry them 4-5 min. it becomes quite crispy & ready to serve.
    14. It can serve as a breakfast or cutting khandoli in small pieces & dipping it in to a curry leads a tasty sabji called 'Khandolichi Bhaji'.
