Red Aloos / potatoes

Spicy tangy potatoes for lip smacking.............

Very easy and amazingly irresistable...........once you try it. Its my Moms speciality transfered to me and now U.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1/2 kg boiled potatoes
    •  3-4 red kashmiri chillies whole
    • 5-6 pods of garlic big in size
    • 1 tsp of jeera whole
    • 1 tsp of whole corrainder seeds
    • A small piece of tamrind
    • 2 tsp red chilly powder
    • 1 small lime's juice
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil
    • Corriander leaves to garnish

     

    Directions

    1. In a grinder put all the above mentioned masala (except oil and coriander leaves)and grind to fine paste.
    2. Try not to use water...but if required add in a little amount only. **Or can try vinegar too.
    3. Heat oil in a vessel and pour in it the above ground masala. Cook well till aromas fill your room.
    4. Now add in it the pieces of boiled potatoes and stir gently but well without breaking the pieces.
    5. Cover and cook on low flame for another 3mins but keep checking.
    6. Lastly garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot. 

    P.S. ** While using lime be cautious of the use of vinegar or it will turn sour..
