This home-made snack often come in handy when unexpected guests drop in and a handful chivda is enough to spare you hunger pangs in the evening while you are getting dinner ready:-)
Ingredients
vegetarian 2 servings
3 cup thin poha(rice flakes)
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup daliya
handful fresh coriander
handful curry leaves
3-4 green chillies(chopped)
1 tsp corinader seeds
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
few raisins
salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
oil
1 tsp cumin & mustard seeds
1 tsp garlic paste
1/4 cup fried onion
Directions
Heat a big pan with a 5 tsp oil.pop the cumin- mustard seeds, curry leaves, coriander seeds, peanuts , daliya & raisins.fry them till peanuts become golden.
Add garlic powder,chopped green chillies. after 2 mins add salt, turmeric powder & onion. mix it well.
Now add poha & mix it & contineously stir fry it for 10 min (or till poha becomes crispy)
Add lemon juice, sugar, mix it.
After 5 min remove it from heat, let it cool & then store it in an airtight container.
