Five Tasty Fruit Mix

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • ripe banana - 1 no (1 cm sized cubs)
    • seedless grapes - 1 bunch (cut into halves)
    • ripe (firm) mango - 1 no (1 cm sized cubes)
    • jack fruit - 10 no.s (cut into 1 cm pieces)
    • apple - 1 no (1 cm cubed pieces)
    • ghee - 1 cup
    • honey - 2tbsp
    • jaggery - 1 cup (crushed)
    • cardamom powder - 1 tsp
    • for garnishing:
    • cleaned raisins - 1 handful
    • dates - 10 no.s (chopped)
    • cherries - 5 no.s (chopped)
    • cashews - 15 no.s(crushed)

    Directions

    1. clean and cut the first five fruits , add honey and cardamom powder . mix well and keep aside.
    2. take a pan and heat ghee.Add crushed cashews and raisins.  then add jaggery .heat till jaggery melts and then add fruit mixture to it .mix for 2 mins .then turn off the heat.
    3. garnish with cherries and dates.
    4. Tasty Panchamirtha Fruit Salad is ready to be served.

    ghee should be 1/2 cup or little more than 1tbsp and crushed jaggery- 1/2 cup only .Also don't forget ,this needs 3-4 mins sauting after adding the fruits.

    It can be served as a dessert with your choice of juice - 1 tbsp added and few scoops of icecreams like vanila or butterscotch on top (with usual icecream toppings) per serving head.
