an interesting kofta curry and a favorite of my hubby dear..!!
Ingredients
non vegetarian 1 servings
250 gms minced meat
1 onion
2 tomatoes
3 tsp red chilli pwdr
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp saunf
3 tsp grated coconut
4 -5 cloves
1 inch cinnamon
2 tsp dhaniya
5-6 whole red chiilies
2 tsps channa dhal
4 tsps ginger garlic paste
Directions
roast the saunf, whole red chillies and channa dhal and grind to fine pwdr.mix this to minced meat along with 2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/4 tsp turmeric,garam masala, salt to taste and a tsp of oil
make lemon sized koftas and immerse into boiling water nd allow to cook for 15 to 20 mins.
fry onions with dhaniya, coconut, cloves,cardamom, mace and grind to paste.
heat oil, add remaining ginger garlic paste, curry leaves,tomatoes, red chiili pwdr, turmeric and salt.
add the koftas retaining the water to use later for gravy.fry well with the added masalas and the ground paste till oil seperates
now add the water and cook further till the gravy is thick.
