Apple-Date Nutritional Smoothie

A Healthy and Nutritional Blend

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 2 Apples soft, firm and ripe(peeled)
    • 10 de-seeded Dates
    • 2 glasses of milk or soyamilk
    • 1 handful Raisins (clean and soaked in hot water for 5 mins)
    • 2 tsp Honey
    • 1 cup yoghurt (not curd) (optional)
    • a pinch saffron
    • 3 ice cubes
    • 1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
    • 2 scoops vanila or butterscotch ice-cream
    • 2 tsp sugar
    • 5 cashews
    • 5 almonds (soaked and peeled)
    • 1 tsp ginger juliens (optional)

    Directions

    1. Blend the apples  with the milk or soyamilk first then add dates,raisins,yoghurt, honey, sugar, ice-cream of your choice,cashews,almonds, ice cubes and blend well
    2. Pour this milkshake into 2 glasses.
    3. Top it with ginger juliens and green-cardamom powder.
    4. Refrigerate for 30 mins only. This will taste good if served after 30 mins (not after that).
    5. Enjoy the blended smoothie and post your comments.
