Chicken Podimas

Cooked chicken shredded and sauted with spices

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 10 pieces boneless chicken (cooked in water with turmeric powder and salt)
    • 10 cashews
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 3 chopped green chillies
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds
    • 3  whole red chillies
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp ginger chopped
    • 1 tsp garlic cloveschopped
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 cup coconut grated
    • few chopped coriander leaves
    • 2 tsp refined oil


    1. Cook the chicken with turmeric powder and water and shredd the chicken  pieces.
    2. Saute the cashews in oil first and take them out.
    3. In this remaining oil saute mustard seeds,cumin seeds,whole red chilies,ginger julienns,garlic pieces,onions chopped, coriander leaves.
    4. Add  the shredded chicken,turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
    5. Add grated coconut and roasted cashews and mix well.
    6. Serve hot this chicken  podimas.
