Chicken Rasam

Minced chicken cooked with water and rasam spices

This one can be had as a medicated soup.Minced chicken pieces cooked with water and rasam masala.Try and add your comments.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup minced Chicken
    • 6 no.s chopped small onions
    • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
    • 1 no chopped  tomato
    • 6 no.s Garlic cloves
    • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
    • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
    • 3 cups Water
    • 1 sprig Curry leaves
    • few Coriander leaves
    • Salt to tatse
    • 1 lemon
    • 2 tsp ground masala(Roast 2 tsp Fennel seeds,1 tsp Cumin seeds,12 nos Peppercorns,2 no.s Red chillies with a tsp of oil for 2 mins and then powder them finely).
    • 2 tsp Oil
    • 1 tsp Ghee

    Directions

    1. Heat the kadai and pour oil and ghee.Add the cumin seeds and the fennel seeds.Then add the chopped small onions, chopped tomatoes and turmeric powder.
    2. Fry well until the tomatoes .Add the garlic flakes and the minced chicken.Saute for 2 mins and then pour the water, add the ground masala powder and needed salt.
    3. Let the chicken rasam simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
    4. Add chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.
    5. Then turn off the flame and squeeze lemon over it and mix well.
    6. Serve hot with rice and Drumstick dhal curry or as a soup.
