Tomato-corriander Chutney

Simple and Deliecious chutney

A different side dish for Dosa and idlli

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 4 Tomatos
    • ½ bunch corriander leaves
    • 2 tsp Bengal gram
    • 2 Red chillies
    • 2 Green Chillies
    • 1 tsp of tamrind paste
    • 1 inch ginger piece
    • 1 tsp of mustard seeds
    • 3 tsp of oil
    • Crystal salt to taste
    • ¼ tsp Hing

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a khadai and fry the tomatoes until they are brown in colour.
    2. Now add mustard seeds,bengal gram,both the chillies,ginger and fry them.
    3. After  the fried items are cooled grind them along with coriander leaves,salt,hing and tamrind paste.
    4. Tomato-Coriander Chutney is ready to serve.

    Note: Use Gingely oil for frying since gives very good taste to the dish.Don't cut the tomatoes and fry. Fry them as a whole.
