Crab roast

Crabs shallow-fried in spicy masala

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 500gms Crab(or 6 crabs)
    • 6 garlic cloves
    • 6 green chillies
    • 1 inch size ginger piece
    • 1 tbsp peppercorns
    • 2 tsp fennel seeds
    • 2 tsp kus-kus or poppy seeds
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 1 tbsp refined oil
    • few coriander leaves
    • 2 cups water

    Directions

    1. Grind greenchillies,ginger,garlic,cumin seeds,pepper corns,coriander leaves and poppy seeds together in a mixer-grinder.keep this aside.
    2. Clean the crabs(little removing the shells) with turmeric powder,salt and lemon juice.
    3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan,saute fennel seeds for a min.
    4. Add cleaned crabs and ground masala and mix them well.
    5. Add 2 cups water and needed salt and cook for 10-12 mins till it becomes dry.
    6. Serve them hot with rice .
