u can grind coconut,green chilli,garlic ,ginger with onion & tomato or can use ginger garlic paste.matki looks like green moong but brown in colour and smaller.
Ingredients
vegetarian 4 servings
2 cups Basmati Rice,cooked
1/2 cup matki(after sprouted will get 11/4 cup)
2 onion Sliced
1/2 tsp Jeera
1 1/2 tsp Goda masala
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp hing
Salt,to taste
2 tsp oil
coriander for garnish
Directions
Wash and soak matki for 14 hrs and sprouts comes out.
Cook the rice and allow it to cool for sometime.
Heat oil in a kadai,crackle jeera,add hing,red chilli powder and saute till aroma comes.
Add onion and saute till transculent.Then add matki and fry till it becomes soft and it cooks in very few minutes.
Then add goda masala and salt.Mix well.
Add this to the cooked rice.Garnish with coriander leaves.
