Alu Bukhara (Plums)Chutney

u can use jaggery or sugar.while grinding u can add dania,jeera and redchilli instead of powdered form.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 10 plums
    • 2 tbsp brown sugar used whitworths brand
    • ½ cup water
    • ½ tsp Redchilli powder
    • ½ tsp Dania powder
    • ½ tsp Jeera powder
    • 1/4 tsp jeera
    • 1/4 tsp hing
    • 1/4 tsp Oil
    • Salt,to taste

    Directions

    1. Keep plums at room temperature.Wash it well and remove the seed.seed will come out easily.
    2. Grind them with brown sugar into smooth paste.
    3. Boil them in water and add the grounded paste,red chilli powder,jeera powder, dania powder & it starts becoming thick and no water will be retained.
    4. Add salt as per its taste.It will be like sauce consistency.
    5. Heat oil in a kadai and crackle jeera and hing. Add this to the alu bukhara chutney.
    6. Mix well.Can be served with cutlets,rice and can spread in the bread.

    Note: In India, plums are small. so kindly use 200 gms.
