Aloo Tikki

shallow fried Potato Cutlet

you can add onion or stuff cashew nuts or peanuts of ur choice.U can deep fry if u want.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 large potato
    • 1 tsp corn flour
    • 1/4 tsp haldi
    • 1/4 tsp roasted dania powder
    • 1/4 tsp roasted jeera powder
    • 1 green chilli,chopped finely
    • 1 tsp hari dania(Cilantro)
    • Salt,to taste


    1. Boil the potato and peel the skin and peel the potato in the grater.
    2. In a bowl,mix grated potato,corn flour,haldi,dania powder,jeera powder,green chilli and cilantro with salt.Don't add water.
    3. Divide them into 3 equal parts.
    4. Make balls and slightly flatten them into round shape.
    5. Heat the tawa.Put 11/2 tbsp oil and place all the 5 pieces.
    6. Shallow fry on medium flame to golden brown colour and crispy on both sides.
    7. Aloo tikki or Aloo cutlet is ready.Serve with  any Chutney or tomato sauce.
