Bhindi-Tomato Kootu(Side-dish)

Curry made with Bhindi and Tomato

Very tasty Bhindi-Tomato Kootu(Side-dish) in 10 mins time.This can be taken with rice or Chapathi or Idli etc.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 20 Bhindi(ladies finger)- Cut into 1 1/2 inch size pieces
    • 2 Tomatoes - Sliced
    • 2 big Onions- sliced
    • 2 tbsp green peas - optional
    • 2 tbsp grated coconut ground(coarsely) with 1 small sambar onion,1 tsp cumin seeds,1 garlic clove and 2 green chilli-slit
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tbsp chopped onions
    • 2 tsp refined oil
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
    • few curry  and coriander leaves
    • 3/4 cup water

    Directions

    1. Take a microwave bowl and add refined oil,Sliced onions,cumin seeds, mustard seeds,few curry and coriander leaves.Microwave this on high for a min.
    2. Take the bowl out and add all other ingredients and mix well.Microwave this on high for 9 mins.
    3. Serve this side-dish with rice or chapathi or Idli.
