yoghurt and sugar based

add sugar and can garnish with badam,pista according to ur taste.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cups  Fresh full cream Yoghurt
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 tsp  elaichi powder
    • 2-3 strands of saffron
    • 1 tsp warm milk

     

    Directions

    1. Pour yoghurt in a cotton cloth and tie it tightly and hang it overnight and the whey is drained completely.
    2. In 1 tsp warm milk, dissolve saffron.
    3. In a large bowl,pour the thick yoghurt and add sugar,cardamom powder and kesar milk.
    4. Whip once in blender.
    5. Refrigerate for 5 hrs and serve with puris.

    Dear rabz,if we make with full fat laban it is semi liquid,sugar is added & when we blend it will get the consistency of lassi.better try with yoghurt hanging.thanks.

    Hi Rajeswari, Just to get an Idea since u live in UAE is it possible to make shirkand from labnah as it made in the same processes or do we have to do the yoghurt hanging? Thanks.
