Peanut Balls (Kadalai Urundai)

If the jaggery is not clean,then strain it after jaggery is completely dissolved.

Ingredients vegetarian 20 servings

    • 2 cups Peanuts(Roasted and skin removed)
    • 1 cup grated Jaggery (used organic jaggery)
    • 1/4 cup water
    • a pinch sount(dry ginger)powder
    • 1 tsp ghee or rice powder


    1. In a kadai,roast the peanuts and remove the skin by crushing it and by using moram (supda in hindi or soop in marati) shovel or dustpan.
    2. Take a kadai, pour water and grated jaggery.
    3. Keep it more than 2 string consistency.When u take a small syrup and put it in water.if u r able to make a ball.
    4. it should be ball consistency.(getti paagu)
    5. Switch off the gas.Remove from the gas stove.
    6. Add dry ginger powder and add peanuts.
    7. Mix them thoroughly.
    8. When its hot itself,make balls by greasing ur palm with ghee or rice powder.
    9. After it cools down,store them in an air tight container.
    10. Peanuts balls are ready.
