Tangy Tomato & Noodle Soup

with winter arrving the first thing comes to mind is a bowl of soup this tangy tomato soup fills the tummy and warms the shivering bones too

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 6 Tomatoes,
    • 1 Onion
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 3-4 garlic flakes
    • 1 tbsp cornflour
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds
    • Few curry leaves
    • 1 maggi cube  (chicken/veg)
    • Water  / stock as required
    • 1 cup boiled noodles
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. Wash & cut tomatoes in four pieces , peel wash and cut onion into four pieces
    2. Pressure cook tomatoes,onion and garlic with 1-2 glasses of water
    3. Blend till smooth,strain to remove seeds and peels
    4. Heat butter or oil, add mustard seeds,curry leaves  and fry for a few seconds
    5. Add tomato onion puree. Stir
    6. Dissolve the cornflour in a little water till smooth, add the flour paste  stirring continuously
    7. Add water or vegetable stock bring to boil
    8. Add maggi cube salt and pepper ,simmer for 5-7 minutes
    9. Serve hot with boiled noodles.
    Note : U can add garam masala powder if cube is not available
