Capsicum in Hot Sauce

Capsicums cooked in hot sauce with spices

U can do this recipe with Cauliflower Florets,Chopped Ladies-Finger,Chopped Mushroom, Boiled Egg Slices, Boiled Chicken pieces, Prawns, Apple Pieces, Pineapple pieces, Jackfruit Pieces, Mango Pieces, Babycorn pieces,fried Paneer pieces,etc.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 Green Capsicum-Sliced
    • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic
    • 1/4 tsp grated  ginger
    • 3 tbsp finely chopped onion
    • 1 green chilli-finely chopped
    • 1 tbsp spring onions-finely chopped
    • 1/2 tso crushed peppercorns
    • 1 tbsp hot sauce
    • 2 tsp tomato puree
    • 1 tsp green chilli sauce(optional)
    • 1 tsp soy sauce
    • a pinch of ajinomotto
    • 1 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 1/2 tsp corn flour(dissolved in 3 tbsp warm water)
    • 2 tsp refined oil


    1. Heat oil in a kadai,saute chopped onion,chopped garlic,chopped greenchilli,2 tsp chopped spring onions and grated ginger for 3 mins till onion turn little golden brown.
    2. Add the capsicum slices,crushed peppercorns and salt and saute for a min.
    3. Add soy sauce,hot sauce,green chilli sauce(optional) and tomato puree and stir for 4-5 mins.
    4. Add ajinomotto and stir for a min.
    5. Add Sugar,1 tsp chopped spring onions and stir for a min and then dissolved corn flour(don't add more) and stir for 2-3 mins.
    6. Serve this hot with Naan and other Indian Breads or rice.
