It is very tasty and surprisingly simple to make. Do give it a try.


  • 1 litre milk
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp. curd
  • dry fruits, elaichi powder (opt.)


  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan till half reduced. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
  2. Caramelize the sugar with 1/2 cup of water.
  3. When cool, combine the milk and the sugar and stir till smooth.
  4. Add the yoghurt and set in a earthern ware pot for that authentic taste.
  5. A pinch of elaichi powder and a tbsp. of sliced and mixed dry fruits can be added while setting the curd.
