Prawns in coconut gravy

Goes as ideal commbination with plain rice.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    500 Gms Prawns, 1 1/2 tsp. Ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp. tamarind pulp, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder, 2 tsp oil, 2 green chillies, 1 medium sized coconut (or coconut milk) cilantro (coriander leaves) for garnishing, Salt to taste,

    Directions

    Grate the Coconut and extract milk. Marinate the prawns for 15/20 minutes with ginger garlic paste, tamrind pulp, turmerric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Take a deep cooking pan, heat oil and add slit green chillies. Add to this the marinated prawns, saute well till the prawns start curling. Now add the coconut milk and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame. Garnish with fresh corriander leaves. Serve Hot.
