Recipe by Lata Anand of Santa Clara, US

Serve it as appetizer or as complete meal. You can subsitute the chicken kabab filling with any other barbecued meat.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

  • 1 cup Flour, self rising
  • 4 nos. Egg
  • 1 cup Onion, sliced
  • ½ cup Tomato Ketchup
  • ¼ cup Chili Sauce (green)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Vegetable Oil

Chicken sheek kabab 8 skewers

Directions

  1. Mix flour and water in a bowl. Use as much water as needed while kneading to get soft dough. Set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Divide into 8 balls.
  3. Roll them very thin into 8" x 8" square (with help of oil or flour).
  4. Beat eggs, add salt and pepper and set aside
  5. Heat a griddle and lay the wrap on top of it. As the wrap changes its color, turn it over quickly and spread about ½ beaten egg on top of the bread. Add a spoon of oil over and on sides. The egg should start solidifying at this point; carefully turn it over again. Reduce heat.
  6. Remove the wrap from the griddle on to a work area egg side up.
  7. Add some onions slices, Kababs, tomato ketchup and green chili sauce on top and in a line. Fold from the corners into a roll.
  8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
  9. Garnish with sliced cabbage, tomato and baby carrot.

you can use any, only difference is if you use self rising, your rolls will be little thick, fluffy and softer and when you use only maida it will be little thin and crispy.you can mix both half -half. self rising flower has backing soda in it.you can buy from any supper market. this is specially for pancakes or waffles.
