Chocolate frosting

This frostig can be used on any chocolate cake

This is for all the chocolate lovers.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 stick butter (brought to room temperature)
    • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
    • 2 tbsp milk
    • 1 tsp water


    1. Melt the  semi sweet chocolate chips by taking them in a vessel and placing it in another (slightly larger) vessel filled with warm water.
    2. Add the powdered sugar to the melted chocolate and stir well.
    3. Once the sugar has mixed well (takes about 3 - 5 minutes), add water and stir. This will make the mixture to thicken and solidify.
    4. Now add the butter and stir well for about 5 mins.
    5. Then remove the vessel from the warm water and keep stirring until the mixture is mixed well.
    6. Now add the milk slowly in parts, checking the consistency.
    7. After the mixture has come to room temperature add slightly more milk if the mixture is very thick.
    8. Cool the mixture for some time, just till it thickens slightly and then spread it on, in between and over the sides of the chocolate cake.
    9. For a richer look, u may even decorate the cake with Whipped Topping (regular).




    you can chop regular chocolates and use them instead of semi sweet chocolate chips
