Cauliflower raita

A delicious side dish to make the main dish tastier

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 medium sized Cauliflower
    • 1/2 litre Curds
    • 6 to 7 small onions(sliced)
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    • 3 sprigs corriander leaves(chopped)
    • 1 sprig tender curry leaves
    • 2 no green chillies (halved)
    • 1 tsp coconut paste(optional)
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp oil

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a non stick wok
    2. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, onions & the green chillies saute untill transparent
    3. Add the corriander leaves, thoroughly washed cauliflower florets, salt & the coconut paste if desired.
    4. Saute untill slightly tender (the cauliflower should not be fully cooked)
    5. Remove from fire allow it to cool
    6. Add the above mixture to the curds
    7. Can be served with pulavs, biriyani, or parathas

    Good side dish 4 pullaos but one raw tomato in this can make a diffrance
