Finger Fish

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

    • 1 kg fish cut into 4 inch long pieces.
    • 2 oz cooking oil
    • 4 oz plain yogurt
    • 1 tbsp salt
    • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
    • 2 tbsp tomato puree
    • 2 tsp garam masala
    • 1 oz fresh garlic peeled
    • 1 oz fresh ginger peeled
    • 2 eggs
    • Breadcrumbs
    • oil for deep frying
    • 5-6 drops of red colouring
    • 4 green chillies


    1. Place the yogurt, salt, turmeric, tomato puree, garam masala, ginger, garlic food, colour and green chillies in liquidizer and blend it.
    2. Marinate the fish in it for 2 hours.
    3. Beat an egg, dip the marinated fish in it and coat with breadcrumbs and deep fry in a moderatly heated oil until golden brown in colour.
    4. Serve with french fries and salad.
