Beetroot Soup

Never used beetroot for soup? Try this recipe and you willlove it.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

  • 1 lb Beetroot
  • 1 no. Onion
  • 1 no. Potato
  • 3 tbsps. Vegetable Oil
  • ½ tsp Lemon, rind
  • 1 tsp Lemon, juice
  • 2 tsps. Mint, chopped leaves
  • ½ cup Raw Cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste


  1. Peel the skin of Beetroot, Potato and cut into small pieces.
  2. Chop finely lemon rind.
  3. Heat Oil in a pan and fry diced onions for 2 minutes.
  4. Add to this Chopped Beetroot, Potato and lemon rind.
  5. Add water and bring to boil for 15 minutes.
  6. When the vegetables have been boiled, grind them in a mixie.
  7. Add considerable amount of salt and pepper powder.
  8. Add lemon juice and bring to boil for 10 minutes.
  9. Garnish with mint leaves and fresh cream.
  10. Serve it hot.



its nice but can we avoid lemon rind


will it not tastes sour if u boil after adding lime juice

this is a nice reci....... but i liked to use corn starch instead of po.tato.
