Sand Horns

Horn shape biscuits with ends dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with sugar.

Ingredients vegetarian 8 servings

    • 1 cup white flour
    • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder
    • 1 1/2 tbsps margarine
    • pinch salt
    • few drops of vanilla essence
    • 1/4 cup sugar. (powdered)


    • 3 tbsps icing sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsps margarine
    • 2 tsps cocoa powder
    • 2 tsps hot water


    1. Sift sugar and baking powder in a dish.
    2. Rub in the fat, till it looks like bread crumbs.
    3. Add salt, vanilla, make a stiff dough with water. Preheat oven.
    4. Divide dough into 20 balls,form each ball into tiny sausage and place them on greased baking tray,shape them in horns or crescent.
    5. Bake them in medium heat, meanwhile sift icing sugar, add margarine, cocoa,and hot water, mix well .
    6. Dip both ends of baked horns in choclate,and lightly sprinkle sugar on it.(you can even sprinkle dessicated coconut)
    7. Place them in a tray to dry.
    8. Serve with coffee.
