Fada lapshi

this is gujarati traditonal sweet receipe.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup broken wheat (Daliya)
    • 1 tbsp ghee
    • 1 cup jaggery
    • 21/2 cups of hot water
    • 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
    • 1 tbsp dry nuts(cashews,pistas)
    • 1 small pc. Cinnamon (dalchini)


    1. Dry roast daliya in a heavy bottomed pan or cooker. Keep aside.
    2. Heat ghee in a kadahi and add dalchini and roasted daliya.
    3. Pour 2 cups of water in it. Cover and let it cook for 10 mins. on medium flame.
    4. Stir in between after 5 mins. When it half cook and water absorbs add jaggery (gud), if required add water.
    5. Mix all it well.
    6. Cover & Let it cook again for 5 mins.
    7. When ghee seperates add all nuts and elaichi and serve hot.
