Sindhi Pomfret

Fried pomfret fish

Less oil but still tasty

Ingredients non vegetarian 2 servings

    • 2 circular pieces of pomfret fish (2 cm in length)
    • 2 tbsp Coriander Pwd
    • 1 tsp red chilly pwd
    • 1/4 tsp jeera pwd(optional)
    • a pinch of tandoori color(optional)
    • 1/4 tsp Amchur pwd
    •  Salt to taste
    •  2 tbsp of oil
    •  Lemon juice and onion rings for garnishing


    1. Clean the fish in cold water and dry it a little
    2. Take a bowl mix all the dry masala and salt together
    3. Coat the fish in this dry masala for 15mins to 30mins
    4. Take a pan add oil when warm add the fish pieces
    5. Simmer the flame and cook both the sides till the fish is tender and the coated masala is properly roasted
    6. If you fell the oil is less and the masala is burning please add 1 tsp extra.
    7. Before serving sprinkle few drops of lemon juice
    8. Serve hot with a slice of lemon and few onion rings to give it the restaurant touch
