Prawn fry

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings


    • 250 g prawns,cleaned
    • 150 g onion,sliced
    • 100 g tomato,chopped
    • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tsp mustard seed
    • 1 tsp fenugreek (methi) seed
    • 1 tsp fennel(jeere) seed
    • 1 tsp chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 100 ml oil
    • 100 ml water
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in fry pan,add mustard, fenugreek, fennel seeds and stir fry the seed crackle.
    2. Add onion and saute until golden brown.
    3. Add ginger-garlic paste,turmeric, chilli powder,tomato and prawns.
    4. Stir well for two minutes.
    5. Add water and cook for 10 minutes,till the gravy turn semi dry and the prawn are well cooked in it.
    6. Serve hot with rice or parathas.
