yummy dessert

Recipe by Farhat of Gujranwala, PK

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 6 bread slices
    • 1/2 cup sugar or to taste
    • 1 litter fresh milk
    • 1/4 cup milk powder
    • 2 3 cardamoms
    • 1 cup ghee or butter
    • 1/2 cup almond grounded


    1. Keep milk to boil, add cardamoms and keep stirring
    2. Cut each bread slice in to 4 equal parts
    3. Meanwhile in a non-sticky pan heat some butter or ghee and fry slices till golden brown
    4. Keep aside.
    5. When milk starts boiling add milk powder and stir well. Add sugar and keep stirring until it become thick, turn off flame.
    6. In a serving dish arange slices side by side and pour milk over it add 1 tbsp butter over it and macrowave for a couple of minutes to melt butter
    7. Garnish with grounded almonds
    8. Chill before serving or serve at room temperature. 



    Its good but i think we can add Kohya in milk to give it more creamy flavor ... i have tried it its yummy


    you can also use custard powder instead of milk powder.



    You can also use pistachios and saffron for garnishing..
